Wednesday Weigh In

Yay!!  I finally hit a new low record for my weight.  The last month I’ve just been gaining and losing the same 4 pounds.  Hopefully I’ve broken that cycle.  My current total weight loss is 21.6 pounds.

Here’s a recap of my goals from last week and how I did.

100 ounces of water a day – I think I should get an A for effort.  I try so hard, but I usually only end up around 80-90 ounces.

Try protein pancakes – Fail.  I got cottage cheese at the store.  I already had everything else needed to make the pancakes.  I go to make them.  Check the date on the oatmeal in the pantry….December 2010.  Oops.  Oatmeal has been added to the grocery list for this week.  I wonder if I could use the single serve instant packages.  I have tons of those.

Workout at least 5 times – Done.  The spin and bootcamp classes have been AMAZING this past week.  I’ve burned over 500 calories in each 45 minute class.  My highest calorie counts were 532 and 515.

Log all food in My Fitness Pal – Fail.  I did not log on the weekend.  Why are the weekends so hard?!?!?

Goals for the week
100 ounces of water a day

Try protein pancakes

Workout at least 5 times

Log all food in My Fitness Pal

Try a new workout

I am participating in Skinny Meg’s challenge and I’m LOVIN it.  She had a challenge to see who could do the most burpees in 30 seconds.  I did 13.  I’m very happy with that non scale victory.  Right after I completed the challenge, I went to bootcamp class, and wouldn’t you know the instructor had us doing burpees.  Every minute we had to stop what we were doing and do 4 burpees.  By the end of class, we had done 120 burpees.  Oh so sore!!!!

  1. Hahaha! I love the burpee meme.. I've used it before too! Because I'm sure that's exactly the face my tabata instructor makes when he makes us do them. HAHAHA

Keep focused! You will achieve your goals!

And... weekends are hard... And I'm not sure why.. Even if I plan the food, and try to pack the day with activity.. I always.. ALWAYS go off track.
If you figure out how to conquer the weekend. Let me know!

    1. The conclusion I've come to is that you have to have some kind of supernatural powers to conquer the weekend....haha

  2. Congrats on your weight loss! Lol, I hate it too when I want to make something and I find out the ingredient is expired. Good job on those burpees...120 is a lot! That's a cute pic lol.

  4. I'd say 80 - 90 oz. is pretty dang close enough to your goal! I'm the same, I shoot for 100 but usually end up between 80 - 90. And giving our body that much water really can't be considered a fail, can it?! You're doing great, keep it up!!

  5. Weekends are hard because you're not on as tight of a schedule as you are during the week. You still did pretty good this week!

    1. I totally agree. I don't have the routine that I have during the week.

  6. Oh man those burpees are great, but will do you in. I'm doing the 21 Day Fix and one of the workouts includes doing burpees for a minute. #wowlinkup

  7. Yay on the weight loss! And great job on the water. It's really hard to get 100oz in, it's hard to get in 80-90oz too! #wowlinkup

  9. ok ok I am trying to log my food in MyFitnessPal and need to get used to it. NOW your caloric burn in less than 60 minutes is AMAZING! That is what I do in 60 minutes. Impressed! Get that water in - you won't regret it. #wowlinkup

    1. Thanks!! Where I'm at in life with work and kids, my lunch hour is the only time I can fit in a workout. I get jealous of those people that get to spend an hour and half at the gym. I try to mentally pump myself up before my workout. I tell myself you've only got 45 minutes. Make the most of it.

  10. I don't know what it is about My Fitness Pal! I get on a two-three day streak and then forget all about it for a few days.. I can't seem to make the habit stick!
I have a love hate relationship with burpees... I hate them when I'm doing them and love the way I feel after I'm finished with them..

  11. Haha yep, burpees are super hard! Awesome job, girl! I just started logging my meals into My Fitness Pal, too, to make sure I'm eating enough calories while nursing! It's definitely hard to remember, though...

  12. Wow congrats on the loss and on your goal progress! I wouldn't use instant oatmeal for the pancakes. I think the texture of old fashioned oats is so great for the pancakes! #wowlinkup
