Weekend Recap

Friday morning we went to the gym.  Bryson was excited to get his fitness on.

After the gym, we met up with my BFF and her kiddos.  We watched Inside Out.  It was a little above Hallie's head and she got restless toward the end.

After the movie, we went next door to the Italian ice cream store.  My friend made a comment about how Bryson is growing up...working out and ordering cappuccino ice cream.  How true and sad!  My baby boy is growing up :(

That evening I had a girls night out with another friend, but not before going to Walmart so Bryson could buy a new video game with his own money.

Saturday morning the kids went on a little trip with my parents, stepsister, and her kids to a museum a few hours away.  I used that free time to clean house and run errands....boo.

Sunday morning Hallie went to wake Bryson up.  She said, "Bryson wake up.  Happy Father's Day."  Silly girl.  I don't always have time to coordinate their Sunday outfits, but I love it when I do!!

We ate at a little sandwich shop after church.  Hallie enjoyed the extra whip cream on my piece of pie.

Sunday evening we took hubby, my step dad, and neighbor (adopted granddad) out to eat at Red Lobster.  I hate seafood, but it's hubby's favorite and it was his day.  I told Bryson we had to take one for the team.  He was confused about that saying, but he's good now after I explained.

One the way home, we stopped by Walmart for a few things.  We sent the hubby in, and we had a dance party in the truck.  Fun times!

This weekend was jammed packed with friends and family.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  My heart is full!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!  Linking up with AndreaErica, and Narci and sharing some of my favs from this week.

This sign at Cracker Barrel cracked me up.  This used to be my and my best friend's motto.  But now I'm wiser and smarter and care more about skin cancer.  Oh to be young and carefree.

I was sent a sneak peak from Friday's photoshoot.  I'm in love!!  I can't wait to see all of them.  I have a feeling I'll have a hard time deciding which ones to get printed to hang.

I sent hubby to church by himself on Wednesday night so we could stay home and work on a Father's Day present.  It's not exactly the best picture.  We had to take the picture in the garage due to all the rain this week.  The garage floor has some stains, and the lighting is horrible.  I'm hoping to clean the picture up in an editing program.  Either way, I'm sure the hubby is going to love it!  Oh, and as soon as hubby got home, Hallie started rambling about how mommy made us astronaut hats.  Thank goodness he still has no clue.

I LOVE salted caramel.  I picked up some weight watchers salted brownie bliss a couple of weeks ago while out of town.  These are so good.  The only negative is the size.  They need to be bigger, but then they wouldn't be just 90 calories.  I really hope I can find some in the local stores.  I only have one left :(

A friend posted a link on Facebook to this blog post.  If you love taking pictures of your kids with your phone, it's a must read!  My favorite quote from the article...."I wasn’t missing out; I was memorializing it. I wasn’t lost behind the lens; I was living through it too. I was there, and I was present. I just didn’t want to forget. Ever. "

Happy Friday!  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Weekend Recap

Friday night, the girl and I headed for a little road trip to get pictures done.  We drove about an hour and half.  She did so good with the little trip.  She is usually not a good traveler.  I was worried since the Hubby wasn't going, but she did awesome!!

I took a few pictures with my phone.  I just couldn't help myself.  Was that really rude?  I made sure not to get in the photographer's way.

And about 30 minutes before we got home, she finally passed out.  That in itself is a miracle.  This girl fights sleeps.  I can count on one hand how many times she has fallen asleep in the car since she's been born.

Since she did so good, I told her we would go to Toys R Us on Saturday to get a toy.  She roamed the store looking for the perfect toy.  She finally decided on a My Little Pony play-doh set.

Sunday after church, we ate at Cracker Barrel.  She's in heaven when we go.  I have to admit, they do have some cool stuff.

The hubby picked up a few candy bars.  He insisted that I try the pigs n' taters bar.  He went on and on about how it's so good and I will love it.  So, I took a bite.  I hated it.  I thought he was playing a joke on me.  But no, he really thinks they're good.  I prefer my chocolate, bacon, and potato chips separated.

It was a great weekend, and sister had a lot of one on one time.  We are all getting anxious for Bubba to get home soon.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!  Linking up with AndreaErica, and Narci and sharing some of my favs from this week.

I was in need of some new black flat sandals.  I took advantage of the Loft 50% off everything sale.  I bought these sandals and a shirt.

I have been busy this week working on a vacation to our favorite place...Disney.  This week I was able to make our advance dining reservations.  I am super excited that I was able to get a reservation to Cinerella's Royal Table.  Now to find the perfect princess dress for Hallie!

My favorite boy is always making me proud.  He came home with his midterm this week....  straight A's.  He is determined to get a plus beside each of those A's.  I love that he is such a hard worker and determined.  He also got chosen to apply to be an ambassador next year. #proudmomma

My favorite girl got to wear one of her favorite dresses.  Between the my little ponies and the twirl factor, she was in Heaven.

When she got home from school, Daddy drew her a my little pony to match her dress.

I subbed a cycling class on Monday.  I have taken cycling classes for years, but never taught.  I had lots of fun teaching and received several compliments.  The instructor I subbed for will be leaving soon.  I am super excited because I have been given the opportunity to take her place.  Now to start looking into getting certified.

I shared a Cinco De Mayo post on Wednesday that included this little humor.  I couldn't help but post it again.

Happy Friday!  Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

What's Up Wednesday

I'm joining Mel, Shay, and Sheaffer for their very first What's Up Wednesday link-up!

What we're eating this week

Eggs, eggs, and more eggs.  Our chickens have really picked up the production.  We have had brinner, boiled eggs, and egg salad.

The garden is also coming along.  Hallie had the first sample of broccoli.

What I'm reminiscing about

All the good memories from my Grandparent's house that burned this past weekend.

What I'm loving

My new canvas I ordered from Easy Canvas.  I'm hoping to make a trip to Hobby Lobby this weekend for some new accessories for the mantel.

What we've been up to

The usual....laundry, school work, t-ball practice, playing outside, etc.

What I'm dreading

Getting my car tags renewed on Friday.

What I'm working on

Planning our Disney trip.  We have a cruise and park trip planned for October.  This week marked our 180 days out, which is when advanced dining reservations must be made for those hard to get restaurants.

What I'm excited about

Having Fridays off soon!

What I'm watching/reading

My guilty pleasure, Teen Mom.  I can't help it.

What I'm listening to

Anything and everything.  I taught a cycling class on Monday.  I try to incorporate all genres of music to satisfy the whole class.  My list of motivating country songs is short.  I need more ideas.  So far, I've been relying on my girl Miranda.

What I'm wearing

It's been raining quite a bit.  I've been taking advantage of it and wearing my Hunter boots as often as I can.

What I'm doing this weekend

Working Hallie's school carnival.

What I'm looking forward to next month

Hallie's first tee ball game, Bryson's field day and awards assembly, school getting out, and Cinco De Mayo.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Hump Day!
