What WE are Going to Wear

I had fun dressing up with my mini me last week.  I decided to try for another match, but the weather decided to forget the fall memo and went back to summer temperatures.  We are headed out of town this weekend to cooler climates, so our matching outfits are get packed in the suitcase.

Our outfit inspiration came from this pin on Pinterest.  We'll be wearing boots due to the cooler weather.

Here are our outfits and the details.

These are a Few of my Favorite Things....Under $10

Linking up with Andrea and Erika today to share some of my favorite finds under $10

I found this cute little girl at Wal-Mart for only $7.97.  I may have named her Susie :)

These potatoes were also found at Wal-Mart.  They were quick, easy, and tasty.  Meets all my requirements.  They had different flavors.  We'll definitely be trying the others.

I found this cute little sign at TJ Maxx this weekend for $9.99.  The little broom is from Target and is $3.00.  I'll be pairing these with a picture of Hallie.  Can't wait to get it all together!

I picked up some of this lotion this weekend for $5.00.  It is AMAZING!

Ok, so I don't remember if my next find was under $10, but it's definitely worth mentioning.  Does anyone else think the prices of razors is ridiculous?!?!  I had heard about Dollar Shave Club, so I googled it to get some more information.  What I found out is that Dollar Shave Club gets their razors from Dorco, and by buying from Dorco directly, you cut the middle man out and pay even less.  I ordered the hubby some razors from there.  He is very picky when it comes to razors.  He usually will only use the most expensive ones.  I bought ones that Dorco said compared to what he already uses.  He has been pleased.  We will definitely be ordering from Dorco again.  After ordering, they sent me a free razor, a coupon, and a thank you card.  Talk about awesome customer service!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you found something you just can't live without...haha.  Can't wait to check out what everybody else found!

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday evening we headed to a local restaurant to take advantage of their Free Pie Friday.  Their butterfinger pie is to die for.  After eating, we headed to the high school football game.  We enjoyed watching my niece cheer.  Hallie had fun pointing her out and waving at her from the stands.

We also watched one of Bryson's classmates/family friends sing the Star Spangled Banner with the choir before the game.

Unfortunately, Hallie didn't have her nap which means there is no way she could hang the whole game.  We ended up leaving after halftime.

The kiddos and I spent Saturday morning lounging around the house and doing chores while the hubby worked on building our new deck.  Once it warmed up, I let the kids burn off some energy with some water play with the water hose.

In the evening, the hubby tagged in, and I enjoyed a little girl time with my BFF.  We hit some of our favs....Chick-fil-a, TJ Maxx, and Target.  I bought a shirt from TJ Maxx, but I'm still not 100% about it.  It may be going back.

Target is already putting out Christmas stuff, and I'm making a mental photo note of things I might need to go back and buy....like this joy sign.

We went to church Sunday morning and enjoyed our favorite Mexican restaurant afterwards.  I love getting pics of the kids dressed up on Sunday.  Mainly because that is the only time I can get a picture of Bryson in something other than athletic wear.

Happy Monday!  We're looking forward to a short work week and heading out of town to go watch Frozen Disney on Ice and visit some family.

Friday Five Favorites

TGIF!!  Today I'm linking up with AndreaErica, and Narci and sharing some of my favs from this week.

ONE
The weather has been absolutely AMAZING!  Hallie and I finally got to sport some of our fall attire, and we've been enjoying playing football in the evenings.  I may have jammed my thumb trying to tackle the hubby.

TWO
Thursday evening, we crossed off the first item on our fall bucket list when we went to the fair.  I'm excited to be crossing another off tonight when we go to our hometown football game.  Looking forward to watching my beautiful niece cheer.

THREE
My favorite show, The Blacklist, started back up on Monday.  There are hardly any shows that I make sure to watch every. single. episode.  This is one of those shows for me.

FOUR
Hallie had to dress up as Johnny Appleseed on Wednesday.  My mom made the vest and bag, and I made the hat.  I think we did a pretty darn good job.

Funny story....I was texting some friends while making the hat, and glued the handle to the wrong end.  I sent them a picture and said, this is why you don't text and craft....haha

FIVE
I finally jumped on the oils bandwagon.   Several people had mentioned oils in their Friday post last week.  Hallie has been battling allergies, so I bought some oils that are supposed to help her with that.  I'm excited to get them in and test them out.  I hope they live up to all the hype I've been reading.

Happy Friday!  Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

What WE Wore: Plaid, Vest, and Boots, Oh My

I do a good job of taking pictures of Hallie in her daily duds.  I rarely take a picture of what I wear.  I decided it would be fun to document what we both wear since I enjoy shopping, just as much, if not more, for her than myself.

This week the temperatures finally dropped low enough that we could bust out some of our fall gear.  The girl and I sported our plaid, vest, and boots.

Bryson was the only available photographer, so the picture was prefixed hair and makeup since he had to leave for school.  Hallie insisted on being held and had an attitude.  I finally got her to break a smile with some tickles.  Love tickling that girl :)

My outfit details
Shirt - old Gap
Vest - last year Old Navy
Pants - last year Target
Boots - can't remember :(

Bathroom selfie at work...haha

Hallie outfit details
Shirt - old Matilda Jane
Vest - Gap
Pants - Gap
Boots - Target

I seriously had fun dressing like Hallie...or having Hallie dress like me, whichever.  Looking forward to putting together more fun outfits.

Weekend Wrap Up

It was an easy weekend with no plans.  Thank goodness because Hallie has some serious drainage going on that has her coughing ALL night.  We have been giving her medicine, but it doesn't seem to help.  I was trying to get her to take a nap one day and noticed her putting her fingers in her mouth.  I remember the dentist saying she would probably have all her 2 year molars by Christmas.  Sure enough, I checked and the first one was poking through.  I'm sure that is what is causing all her congestion and drainage.  I'm just not sure what to do for her since her meds aren't working.  I'm seriously thinking about trying some oils.  So many people have been raving about them lately.  I don't think it would hurt anything to try.

Friday after work, I headed to the gym.  After the gym, I had some errands to run.  I went to the post office.  The lady worker told me I looked cute in my gym clothes.  I was surprised by her compliment considering I was all nasty and sweaty.  She reminded me that I need to compliment others more often.  You just never know when you'll make someone's day.

Friday night, my mom and I headed to Target for some couponing.  I spent my savings on a puffer vest for myself.  Confession time.  The puffer vest came from the girls department.  This is the first time I have bought something from the girls department for myself and now I'm sure it won't be the last.

Saturday morning, Hallie and I headed to Toys R Us for some couponing.  Got to raise her right :)  She was looking so cute and making all kinds of expressions.

With her coupons, she got some Play-Doh originally priced at 5.99 for .10.  Way to go baby girl!!

Sunday morning we went to church.  When leaving, we asked Hallie where she wanted to go for lunch.  Her response....El A Trio.  It's actually El Trio, but she added the extra A.  Homegirl loves her Mexican food.

We picked up Bryson that afternoon.  The kids enjoyed some outside time at Grandma and Grandad's.  Oh, and she picked out her outdoor attire :)

Bryson played football with Hallie.  He's such a good brother!

Happy Monday!!  Hoping for a fabulous week!!

Friday Five Favorites

Yay for Friday!  I'm looking forward to a great weekend with no plans.

Linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites.

Favorite Song
I cannot stop watching this video.  It's just so fun!  I love watching each of the instrument players and how they get into it.  You just can't help but dance when you watch the video.  Definitely a great video to put a smile on your face if you're having a bad day.

Favorite Find
I found a quilt I really love at Cost Plus World Market a few weeks ago.  This is big for me.  I have been looking for a new quilt or comforter for the past few years....yes, years....with no luck.  I didn't buy it because I was waiting for a discount.  Well, now I'm kicking myself.  A discount came out yesterday, and my quilt is no longer available.  I'm so sad.  The shams are still available.  I'm thinking about purchasing them just in case some miracle happens and I find the quilt.  I wonder if World Market ships directly from the store because I will call every store until I found one.  I may have done that before with something I wanted from Gap :)

Favorite Purchase
I cannot wait to get my puffer vest that Sheaffer featured in her Old Navy blog post!

And of course, I had to check out sister's section.  She'll be sporting this awesome leopard sweater when it cools down.

Favorite Fall Scent
I put out my pumpkin scentsy this week.  I love the pumpkin roll and cinnamon vanilla scents. They make my house smell AMAZING during the fall season.  I have a few new fall scents on there way to me that I'm excited to try.

Favorite Friday Flashback
We have been brainstorming about Halloween costumes.  I'm sad because this will be the first year we will not all dress up with a theme.  Of course, Hallie wants to be Elsa.  Bryson thinks he's too old to dress up anything Frozen.  We are having a hard time coming up with a costume for Bryson.  He's at that weird stage where everything is either too babyish or too scary.  I love looking back at some of our past Halloween pictures.

Happy Friday!!!
